Unloved by the addicts
There ought to be a place to go
when you can’t sleep
or you’re tired of getting drunk
and the grass doesn’t work anymore,
and I don’t mean to go
to hash or cocaine,
I mean a place to go to besides
the death that’s waiting
or to a love that doesn’t work
anymore.
there ought to be a place to go
when you can’t sleep
besides to a tv set or to a movie
or to buy a newspaper
or to read a novel.
it’s not having that place to go to
that creates the people now in madhouses
and the suicides.
I suppose what most people do
when there isn’t any place to go
is to go to some place or to something
that hardly satisfies them,
and this ritual tends to sandpaper them
down to where they can somehow continue even
without hope.
those faces you see every day on the streets
were not created
entirely without
hope: be kind to them:
like you
they have not
escaped.

a 7-foot tall statue of Medusa holding the severed head of Perseus will be installed in Manhattan, across from the NY County Criminal Court, the location of high profile abuse cases including the recent Harvey Weinstein trial.
i never knew this before but Medusa was stalked & raped by Poseidon and then blamed for it, and cursed by Athena with the snake hair & turning people to stone thing. She was banished and then Perseus killed & beheaded her. This statue “inverts the narrative” as a commentary on the Me Too movement.
It will stand there until April. Look how badass this statue is

Claims day ll
"ZOE_MOON_DAILY_OCT_12: All will be revealed, the truth will out, nothing shall remain hidden, it's that kind of week. Globally, we'll probably want to buckle up, in our own life there are things that will be surfacing this week that we may have been feeling were true but will now be evident and I suppose it's possible that some of us may be taken by surprise by some of it. We are at the final pivot in the dance of 2020 so it's been an unfolding story. The door is open. This same energy is behind the tremendous learning curve of the year, the meet-up of spiritual, religious, and political beliefs, the reimagining of mediums for artistic talents, the dissolving of our institutions, the personal growth through isolation, the mad tug of war between happiness and depression, romance and distance, magic and media, law and institutions. It's a long list so I won't go through all of it, let's just say we're well acquainted with it and we are turning a corner now in this final alignment today. A good way to know how far we've come since this time last year would be to ask ourselves how our beliefs have evolved and what truths we have learned or secrets we have uncovered on our personal journey. But I know, it's Monday and you may just wish for a bit of an easier start to your first cup of coffee and your week ahead so let's look at some of the lighter stuff for the day. We have a creative mindset that is about getting busy with the kids, our lovers or love life, creative ventures, or recreational pursuits today. There is great flow here involving partners, clients, specialists, reps, and other key players as well as to our Mars Retrograde do-over of a personal nature in the mix. So we should be active and about reworking, releasing or rekindling passions, anger or activities in these areas of life and connecting with others as we do so. There are adjustments when it comes to the boss, parent, or other authority type regarding financial, intimate or third-party needs as well as responsibilities, commitments, endings, or ambitions in the mix. Mercury wants to talk or hears news, has meetings or focuses on sales, writing, interviews, or decisions about loans, inheritance, taxes, insurance, alimony, or other financial interests, or about sexual pursuits, reproductive needs, divorce, mortality, or third-party matters. There are opportunities from this to love, income or beauty interests and being of service, doing the work, health interests, the animals, paperwork, the details, going organic, being holistic, or involving co-workers or hired help. So that's a lot in flow, however do keep in mind that Mercury is at a standstill and readying to go Retrograde tomorrow night so the things we delve into today are definitely 3-parters and will be in play for a bit. If you don't get momentum today, you still have a couple other shots at it. ~Zoe Moon"

This is the wig of Merit, wife of Kha, found in the tomb of the couple (TT8) in Thebes, present-day Luxor, Egypt. The wig was constructed of human hair and consists of many different hair pieces. It was beautifully made over 3300 years ago! The wig can now be seen in the Museo Egizio, Torino, Italy.

Ikea pilgrims.
i am new york city
here is my brain of hot sauce
my tobacco teeth my
mattress of bedbug tongue
legs apart hand on chin
war on the roof insults
pointed fingers pushcarts
my contraceptives all
look at my pelvis blushing
i am new york city of blood
police and fried pies
i rub my docks red with grenadine
and jelly madness in a flow of tokay
my huge skull of pigeons
my séance of peeping toms
my plaited ovaries excuse me
this is my grime my thigh of
steelspoons and toothpicks
i imitate no one
i am new york city
of the brown spit and soft tomatoes
give me my confetti of flesh
my marquee of false nipples
my sideshow of open beaks
in my nose of soot
in my ox bled eyes
in my ear of saturday night specials
i eat ha ha hee hee and ho ho
i am new york city
never-change-never-sleep-never-melt
my shoes are incognito
cadavers grow from my goatee
look i sparkle with shit with wishbones
my nickname is glue-me
Take my face of stink bombs
my star spangled banner of hot dogs
take my beer can junta
my reptilian ass of footprints
and approach me through life
approach me through death
approach me through my widow’s peak
through my split ends my
asthmatic laugh approach me
through my wash rag
half ankle half elbow
massage me with your camphor tears
salute the patina and concrete
of my rat tail wig
face up face down
piss into the bite of our handshake
i am new york city
my skillet-head friend
my fat-bellied comrade
citizens
break wind with me
