She was bleeding, she checked herself, before thinking better of it. The room was white, full walls, with a low frame, metal as she remembered. The shower still flowed into a slope. Two bodies under a tap- that was a memory, as was the mirror; The crime after the crime. All things tight and ugly in the light. The cloud behind, that dragged the sun away. MB

She had fucked up so many times before. That dead weight now hung off her, in a way that easily settled any scores. Henry would be pleased, but then Henry always was. He prayed for her misfortune. Lost they said of Henry. Henry who was now all gone. She took a glass of water, turning the tap carefully. The pain was rising again, shooting like an un-straight bullet. Out the window and across the beach head, the sky was grey with tumult, something blowing in - crowned with yellowish black, threatening the day. All around the flattened sea, tremored with uneasy calmness, she wondered if the boat would still come . She took a drink, glancing at the kitchen clock. Four hours before she could hit the morphine again, with bitterness she noted that desires always came early, and with them the need for the easy subtle drown that must eventually hold sway.
All around her the house stood quiet, apart from the tremor of an odd and old clock, a legacy from some aunt or battle long discarded. But here she was after all, with a leg full of plate and lead, the results of choices, but wasn't everything down to choices in the end?. Yes at six, the boat would come, and with it, Sturges, her only visitor for the month. With all the things asked for and quite possibly a few more, she wondered about Sturges, what was in it for him? after all wasn't she passed everything and him still a youngish man. She altered her graze, bringing it back through the near shore, concentrating her vision on the reflected image in the kitchen window, the bright pierce of eyes, faded blue, and some how still utterly dead, encased within a crown of white and lines. Was it all pain in the end? She looked out to the garden. A pot had half blown over, quite possibly a strange wind blowing in the night, she would have to go out and fix it later, maybe with the stick she could still walk. Maybe beyond the regret, something other than the memories of failure lingered. She set down the glass on the draining board, just as the bitter chime of the upright struck in another room. Moving against the jutting marrow of her inner slef, Hobbling with her aloneness, she moved slowly to the front of the house, turning on the porch light incase the storm should come. Leaning heavily in a old good chair to wait for the handyman; lost in the company of thoughts, and of course her ever constant and abiding pain. MB

A body that no longer dances well. Woke up not so defeated, but still impaled on thought. The ones that wont lift, beyond the hollowing cramp. of pain- that spray-strains in word bullets; pummelling a fancifully creative, dried and bloated corpse. Those rough swells with cross currents, the hard tide of a heart that wont rise. So I sink down closing all the doors, Throat stopped - under the full glare of lost. I wish I could just unpack.. Speak myself some speak. Words authentic, reactions real. Let all the good missives find expressions of eventual cause, in things that truth and tell. Again Part of the mother and the holy roman broken shell. I need these lights to bleed me back into the red beyond this despicable nothing and the judgement of God. MB |
I am in flat packed space; rolling with disregard, I touch no sides and lift nothing. The deeps are dead, they have no name. Just stacked and slipped away places to forget. So I seep under - slip into the mute. Short starts with no happenings; other than the usual tears on hiatus. Choked around something dumb and unconscious. My flight has gone, it no longer lifts or shines. As the house came falling, One minute I was talking; the next I had thrown myself away. MB

Here Quan Yin comes to remind us that we need not force things to have them happen in our lives, that although we are guided to use clear intention and take steps towards what we desire to manifest, we need not use brute force! There is no hastening the river! Sometimes we must complete a cycle before starting on the next; tie up loose ends before starting on the next chapter. We also must let go of the need to control, and to have things look exactly as we want them to look.
Does that seem contradictory? Focus on what you want, but don’t get all caught up in the expectations… hmmm how do you process that? One of the most powerful tools I have used is to ask the Universe for “this or something better,” which allows some space for my socks to be blown off in the process! We are such limited thinkers, us humans! And we try so hard to colour in the lines that we sometimes lose the magic in the process. What if you were so busy colouring in the lines on your little printed out mandala, and the Universe brought in a mural the size of a bill board! That is how fast things can happen and sometimes we think we know what’s best, but we really just want the feeling that goes along with it.
So, when you set your intention and start taking steps towards creating your dreams, always leave some wiggle room for surprises, miracles and gifts from the Universe along the way. Keep in mind that the journey itself is where the magic of the lesson lies. And that no matter what you think you want, the Universe can conjure up something even better!

All the pieces of the puzzle of your life are finally coming together to form one, unified picture of your life story. This integration has healed deep wounds, and you are now able to put the past behind you. You have found your absolution, having cleared any wrongdoings or regrets, and releasing any guilt or sadness about the past. This purging process will leave you refreshed and ready to take on any new challenges.
The Judgement card suggests that you may find comfort in sharing your struggles with others within a group environment. There will be others who have experienced something similar and who can show you the way to freedom from your troubles. Let them guide you and help you - rise together.
Judgement reversed calls for a period of reflection and self-evaluation. Through meditation or quiet contemplation, you may arrive at a deep understanding of the universal themes weaving throughout your life and what you can do or change to avoid these situations. You may have kept them secret or hidden because you fear how others may judge you. To clear these past mistakes and regrets, and any associated guilt or shame, work on your self-forgiveness, self-acceptance, self-love, and release and freedom.
The Judgement reversed often appears when the Universe is trying to send you a message and invite you to something bigger, but you’re not listening. Maybe you’re afraid of the sacrifice you will need to make to heed the call, or you’re worried you are not ready to step into a more prominent role and just want to play it safe. You are doing your best to pretend you didn’t receive it and are carrying on with your daily life, hoping it will go away. But let’s be honest – the ‘call’ never goes away; it just gets louder and louder until you pay attention. It’s time to push past your inner fears and self-doubt, and trust that the Universe has your back. This is happening for a reason.
Sometimes, the reversed Judgement indicates your inner critic is coming through, loud and clear. You may doubt yourself or tell yourself negative messages. This is impeding you being able to fulfil your highest potential and be your best self. To overcome your inner critic, see it as a separate part of yourself (give it a name), hear it out and acknowledge its fear, and offer assurances that everything will be just fine. With focused discipline, you can break the cycle of self-criticism and replace it with more positive messages of what is possible.
