WHAT YOU CAN /CANNOT DO DURING LOCKDOWN FROM 12.01AM ON NOV.5TH TO 2ND DEC. 2020

People will only be allowed to leave their homes for specific reasons.

The furlough scheme will remain in place during this period.

Specific reasons to leave home are for childcare, education or work (if you cannot work from home), to exercise outdoors, visit an outdoor public place, for medical reasons, to escape injury or harm, to shop for food or essentials, to provide care for vulnerable people, visit people in your support bubble or as a volunteer.

There must be no mixing of different households inside homes(except for childcare & other support)

There must be no mixing of different households outside except for exercising or visiting a public place with one other person.

People who shielded in March do not have to shield again but clinically vulnerable & over 60s are advised to limit social contact & follow rules.

All pubs, bars & restaurants must close but takeaways & deliveries are allowed but not takeaway alcohol.

All non-essential retail must close but customer deliveries & click-&-collect is allowed.

Food shops, supermarkets, garden centres & some retailers providing essential goods & services can remain open.

Some venues will be allowed to stay open for specific exempt activities like childcare & support groups.

Support groups that are essential to deliver in person can remain open with up to 15 participants where required to give mutual therapy or support eg. Victims of crime, drug or alcohol abuse & recovery, new parents, people with long term illnesses & those who have suffered bereavement.

International travel out of UK is banned (except for work)

You must avoid non-essential travel by private or public transport.

You are not allowed overnight stays or holidays away from your home either in UK or abroad

Work places will remain open where people cannot work from home.

Support bubbles are not changed.

Children can move between homes if parents are separated.

Outdoor recreation is OK on your own, with your household/bubble or with one other person from a different household but golf is not allowed.

People can sit on park benches as long as it is with their household.

Weddings & civil ceremonies are not allowed except in exceptional circumstances.

Services in places of worship are banned (private prayer is OK)

Funerals are allowed (max 30 people) with only close friends & family & linked ceremonies are allowed but with only 15 people.

Manufacturing & construction industries to continue.

Childcare, schools, colleges & universities to remain open.

University students must not move back & forth between their home/student accommodation in term time & should only return home for Christmas at the end of the term.

Playgrounds will remain open.

Medical appointmentys to continue as at present.

Vets can remain open.

Courts will remain open.

Job Centres will remain open.

Professional sport will continue as at present but amateur sport is banned.

Hotels & hostels can remain open for people travelling for work & limited other reasons.
