If you are not sufficiently aggressive, you will be treated like shit. Different contexts and domains dress up that aggression differently. It can be raw displays of physical violence, wittiness and humour, formal intellectual domination - any number of things - but the theme is always clear regardless of culture, class and context. Are you strong? How does it look when you bear your teeth? Can you inspire fear in the hearts of others? Can you make the tough decisions under pressure when the situation calls for it? What is the essence of the stuff you are made from? Will you crumble, or push through? What strength do you possess that means when I look at you I should respect you? Show me your force of being, your intensity, your soul - wear your darkness - show me your power.
