grok interpret this dream: Being chased through a variety of building, gardens, places, natural settings by a mad assasin/assailant. At one point almost get away, with my friend, who stops to order a pizza, we cant wait for the order, as the assailant, is following us again, we dive through a window, to run, and almost get away, until I decide I have had enough, I get angry, turn and charge towards to the assailant, who when I get close enough, I find has tranformed beyond whatever is afflicting him, and is now just a normal guy who has been chasing us, because he wants to join our group.
Being chased by a “mad assassin” who turns out to just want to join your group is a classic anxiety-to-integration dream. The overall arc moves from prolonged flight → near-escape interrupted by everyday distraction → decisive confrontation → the threat dissolving into something ordinary and affiliative. That structure itself is the main message.Core chase sequenceBeing pursued through mixed settings (buildings, gardens, natural places) usually reflects a sense of threat that follows you across different areas of life—work, home, social, or internal. The pursuer starts as a “mad assassin/assailant,” which commonly symbolizes an externalized fear, pressure, or inner critic that feels irrational, relentless, and potentially destructive. The variety of locations suggests the anxiety is not confined to one domain; it generalizes. The friend who stops to order pizza is a vivid detail. While you are in survival mode, someone close prioritizes a mundane comfort or delay. This can point to:
- Frustration with people (or parts of yourself) who do not share the same urgency.
- The way ordinary needs or social rituals can feel like liabilities when stress is high.
- A mild irritation that even allies can slow escape.
- Something (or someone) you have been treating as a threat, stressor, or antagonist may actually be seeking affiliation, understanding, or a place in your circle. The fear may be disproportionate to the actual intention.
- An internal conflict or rejected part of yourself (the “shadow” in Jungian language) that has been hounding you wants integration rather than destruction. Once faced, it becomes ordinary and usable.
- You may be ready to stop running from a pressure (deadline, conversation, decision, emotion) that feels relentless. Confronting it could reframe it from enemy to something that can be brought inside the group (accepted, negotiated with, or even collaborated with).
- Mild irritation with friends or companions who “stop for pizza” while you feel urgency—suggesting a need for clearer shared priorities or for accepting that not everyone operates at the same intensity.

Scene addition/insertions week: slow boil
If you are not sufficiently aggressive, you will be treated like shit. Different contexts and domains dress up that aggression differently. It can be raw displays of physical violence, wittiness and humour, formal intellectual domination - any number of things - but the theme is always clear regardless of culture, class and context. Are you strong? How does it look when you bear your teeth? Can you inspire fear in the hearts of others? Can you make the tough decisions under pressure when the situation calls for it? What is the essence of the stuff you are made from? Will you crumble, or push through? What strength do you possess that means when I look at you I should respect you? Show me your force of being, your intensity, your soul - wear your darkness - show me your power.

Stupid grin on his face.
Some relationships don’t need to end. They need to transition. And transition is not punishment. Moving someone from friend to acquaintance doesn’t diminish their value as a person. It simply acknowledges the limits of what the relationship can realistically hold.
A lot of relational disappointment comes from repeatedly asking people for what they have consistently demonstrated they do not have to give.
For you, friendship may mean service, sacrifice, consideration, inconvenience, emotional depth and showing up when it costs you something. For someone else, friendship may mean good conversation, shared interests, occasional outings and enjoying each other when it’s convenient.
Neither automatically makes someone a bad person. But those two definitions may not be compatible enough to sustain the same kind of friendship.
That’s where discernment matters. Stop turning every incompatibility into an indictment of someone’s character. Sometimes there is no villain. There is simply a difference in values, expectations, relational capacity or investment.
Maturity is learning to accept what people have shown you and adjusting your expectations and access accordingly.

Birth fear cured.
I delivered a 10 lb 12 oz baby in the front seat of our truck. The firemen kept trying to recline my seat. Nope. 45 degree angle is optimal. No pain. No tears. Bradley Method. Felt like superwoman!
Transition was 8:15-9:30. The contractions were so intense, I describe it as a freight train going through my body. I was shaking during them toward the end. Low moaning. Husband pushing on my back for counter pressure. But rest in between each one. My water broke at 9:35 and then it was all over. Not a single ounce of intensity or “pain” followed.
I squatted in that position. I breathed. I felt his head, felt my tissues expand as he crowned, and then the rest of his body slipped out and he was up on my chest.
I wasn’t screaming. I wasn’t in pain. I wasn’t even sweaty.
Stubbing your toe is painful. Contractions after birth when your uterus shrinks back down are painful
Labor contractions are a deep, intense pressure.
Your mental preparation, what you believe about contractions, what you believe your body is capable of AND your environment have a HUGE impact on your pain.
With my first I was terrified. Tense. Trying to bare down and grit my teeth through each one. Vomitting. Hospital. Strangers. Bright lights.
With my third I was swaying, welcoming each surge, working with my body, trusting my body. Home. Living room. Low lights. My husband and my midwife.
You can do this! You were made for this!
The exact position I was in when I delivered my third at home without pushing - I breathed him down and my body did the work. And I didn’t tear at all. He was 9.2 lbs.
Forcing women to lay flat on their back is part of the reason labors don’t go smoothly. It is not how our bodies are designed to give birth.
