Happy New Year, Aquarius! With Venus in your sign this month, you’re attracting all the attention and have a spring in your step. There are powerful changes unfolding behind the scenes in your life as you enter January. You’re in between eclipses, nearing the end of an 18-month phase of transformation that has asked you to confront your deepest fears of failure and success and look at subconscious conditioning surrounding how this world works and your place in it. Developing a regular meditation will be powerfully grounding this month and over the course of the year.

As the Cancer full moon and lunar eclipse align on January 10, a health or work situation comes to light. Life is changing, and you don’t have all the answers, but take things one day at a time and you can see the next steps. You can manifest, build, and live the life of your dreams, but it will require you to take conscious steps toward it.

As the sun enters your sign on the twentieth, you’re ready to step into the light. January 24 brings the Aquarius new moon and marks a deeply personal new start. You are not who were a week ago, let alone a month or a year ago. Be true to yourself now and you can unfurl into all you’ve become and are becoming.

AQUARIUS:
Happy New Year Aquarius! 2020 is shaping up to be one of the more powerful, intense, serious, and changing or evolving years you’ve had in some time, perhaps even ever and the focus is on 12th house matters. So, when it comes to romantic interludes or affairs, spiritual practices, magic, psychic interests, art, film, music, poetry, dance, or other muse-driven interests, spas, retreats, hospitals, or other institutions, secrets, deceptions, addictions, or bad habits, or research or investigations, something big this way comes, more on this in a bit.

First, Mars heads into your social arena on the 3rd for a 6+ week stint here and it’s all about the fire, the passion, the fights, or the motivation and action going on with friends, associates, groups, the internet, astrology, charities, gatherings, or about original projects or aspirations. You should be busier than you’ve been in a couple years here so make the most of it.

Then, from the 6-11th, Jupiter will pass over the Karmic South Node, something that hasn’t happened here since the 1920’s! This means when it comes to those artistic, romantic, spiritual, magical, psychic, addictive, secretive, deceptive, institutional, investigational, or research matters, something big is going on here starting now. It’s a time to look at 1) letting go as a karmic cycle has run its course or 2) rebalancing karma in a situation where one side is giving or taking more than the other or 3) being open to past life souls returning this lifetime through one of these doorways to pick back up on some thread from before. Look at how Jupiter topics may influence these areas of life; travel, distance, legal, educational, media, marketing, wedding, ceremonial, religious, or political interests.

Overlapping this, from the 6-14th Saturn will merge on the same degree with Pluto in this same territory of artistic, romantic, spiritual, magical, psychic, institutional, secretive, investigational, addictive, or research arenas, perfecting on the 12th. This is super rare as well, something they haven’t done here since 1518. So, these 2 powerful outer planets are about something cementing, ending, getting real, about goals, powerful changes, death and rebirth, control, or focus on the financial, sexual, reproductive, divorce, career, or third-party needs here. Mercury and the Sun are going to be active during this period as well in connection with these topics so it means more talks, news, meetings, short trips, writing, sales, offers, agreements, siblings, neighbors, vehicles, electronics, or decisions and more personal or physical involvement or impact for you in the mix.

As if this weren’t enough, smack dab in the middle of this, on the 10th, is a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse that is opposite these topics and thereby influencing more energy peak around them. The Eclipse itself is about work, health, animal, paperwork, hired help, or co-worker situations coming to a head. This may bring an ending, breakthrough, wrapping up of a project or situation, celebration, recognition, or achievement here. Emotions are likely to be high and something may be eclipsed out that has blocked or is over as part of the story.

Venus heads into Pisces on the 13th which is your territory of income, purchases, possessions, gifts, and products. So, in the weeks ahead look for love, income or beauty in these areas or for something to smooth out or for more enjoyment here.

Finally, on the 16th, 20th and 24th Mercury, the Sun and the New Moon will start to resonate in your sign in that order. This means more talks, meetings, sales, writing, interviews, offers, proposals, short trips, or decisions aimed at you, your body, image, brand, name, title, personal needs, or involvement in things with Mercury. Then when the Sun kicks in he starts 30 days of spotlight on you and can help you focus more on yourself or take the lead in the things you want and stand out. Then as the New Moon in your sign kicks in on the 24th you get 2 weeks or more personal or physical momentum which can help you to start something new or take something current to the next level on your own behalf, sweet! Aquarius or Aquarius Rising — Retreat, rest, recuperation, surrender, endings. You’re at the end of a cycle, a long journey that has arced across your life. As a result you may be feeling call to pull back, to reflect, to figure out what it all means after all these years. Over the next three years your spiritual life will be a priority and you will be building a framework for how you connect to the All, the Divine, the Universal. Libra or Libra Rising — Home, family, foundation, emotional connections. You’re in a new season, a new phase of life, one that is all about building a foundation for yourself. You can’t get more fundamental than home and family, the support for which everything rests on. Over the coming three years you may make a major move, plant down roots, build a home, or settle down. Capricorn is the sign that represents your roots, your ancestry, but Capricorn can feel like a hard sign, one marked by the duties and expectations of family. Make sure you are tending to what nourishes you on a deep level and allows the totality of your life to flourish.
