January 10 — Here we are, at the end of a high energy and possibly dramatic eclipse cycle. Today's full moon lunar eclipse at 20 degrees Cancer opposes both Saturn and Pluto as well as the Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter in Capricorn. This rare configuration is pushing us to open up, to reexamine our walls, our fears, and anything that's holding us back.
This is admittedly intense astrology, especially since it comes at the same time that Uranus turns direct in Taurus and, two days later, Saturn and Pluto meet up in the sky for the first time since 1982.
Be a witness to what's happening inside you and all around. What old memories are coming up? What feelings are emerging or even spilling out of you?
Five planets in Capricorn can be a bit of a grind and even exhausting. Make sure you're nurturing yourself, doing what you love, and getting what you need. With Pluto strong in this eclipse, there is a demand that something change and transform. It's for the good of our soul's evolution. So, again, we may find that it's time to let something go in the coming days. Be very present with yourself and your feelings. Keep a journal of what's coming up so you can reflect back on it later. (If you want a guide to how to work with this energy, especially a rare alignment of Saturn and Pluto, exact on January 12, sign up for my newsletter and download your guide in the link below. )
Further, Uranus turns direct today at 2 degrees Taurus, adding a level of unusualness to this eclipse. Uranus is the great awakener. It shakes us. It shows us a new path. It not only encourages us to leave behind whatever imprisoning us, but it demands that we be our true selves.
The eclipse also makes a trine to Neptune in Pisces. There's hope for us — hope for compassion, redemption, forgiveness. If Cancer is the mother, then Neptune in Pisces connects us to the Universal Mother. She soothes and she heals. Maybe we can forgive ourselves.
The walls are coming down whether we want them to or not. What do we want to create in this new space?
